Product, brand & marketing

Apps with a point of view.

Ordinalist and Backward started with problems I wanted to solve. I built the software, gave each app its own look and voice, and created the websites and messaging to introduce them. Same person behind it all, but two very different personalities.

App 01

Ordinalist

Your Music Taste Deserves Answers

Ordinalist turns any album or playlist into a series of head-to-head choices, then builds a complete ranking. Built for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

The brand behind it

Ordinalist is opinionated, playful, and a little too invested in your music taste. I carried that personality through the pink-and-mint visuals, the product explanations, and the website’s copy, down to the support form.

App 02

Backward

Your Day, Backward Through Time

Backward shows the photos, videos, and music in your library that were taken or released on this day, then brings back your One Line a Day notes every year. Available now on iOS and iPadOS.

The brand behind it

Backward takes a warmer approach to nostalgia. I built its colorful visual identity and conversational voice around the photos, music, and small moments that make a day worth revisiting.
